Pipe inspection

The condition of the waste pipes is assessed

From the outside, it is impossible to see if the pipes are intact and fully sealed, or if they are starting to become clogged. A pipe inspection using a camera is required to determine the condition of the waste pipes. Filming inside the pipes provides important information about any defects that then form the basis for future actions. The inspection makes it possible to examine any cracks, joint displacements, leaks, poor drops, corrosion, or see if any foreign objects have entered the pipes, such as roots from trees.

Filming is always preceded by a drain flushing. Once the pipe is free of sediment and deposits, such problems can be detected and recommended measures can be put forward together with a quote. Knowledge of the condition of the pipes allows us to establish a realistic budget and maintenance plan for future investments.

Sweden’s Authorised Pipe Inspectors

Staff who carry out filming are certified Pipe Inspectors in accordance with STVF T25 Pipe Inspector certification. This is proof of quality that gives the customer peace of mind but also documents the work. Wall to Wall Group’s subsidiaries are members of STVF (Sweden’s Authorised Pipe Inspectors).

Internal inspection of sewer pipes has been happening since the creation of the first pipes, and at first was limited to what could be seen by looking into a pipe. Since the 1960s, camera equipment for internal inspection has been used and the technology has been constantly evolving ever since. Today, everything from grease, dirt and deposits to the smallest hole in the pipe can be identified during filming.
